Our London-based Managing Director Dominic Burke and Client Service Director Giles Darwin travelled to Chantilly in France this week to speak at the Luxury Packaging Summit. The summit gathered together experts from the luxury packaging market to discuss challenges, find solutions, and identify key trends.
Giles presented on ‘Making meaningful connections with new luxury consumers’. Drawing on comparisons from three luxury consumer groups; millennials, the emerging middle class and baby boomers, Giles used examples from our Star of Bombay and Grant’s Elementary work to demonstrate what design needs to look like in order to effectively reach these consumer groups.
Dominic was invited to sit on the advisory board of the event, which discussed and addressed prominent issues facing the luxury packaging market. Dominic also shared a presentation around the role of sustainability in luxury packaging; firstly examining the innate desire consumers have for beautiful and precious objects before then assessing where the responsibility lies for driving sustainable values and practices in a product’s lifecycle.
